Merit Badge Requirements & Worksheets | Look below to see part one of the photos from our trip to Wekiwa Springs, 2/14 - 2/16/03.
We have arrived (it was actually Friday 2/14 around 7:30 PM).
Hmmm....is this the best place to camp?? Check out that sign!
Friday night was spent setting up camp. Here on Saturday morning, Robert and Larry are preparing the fire pit to help warm up the sleepy scouts.
Robert is bundled up.
OK...how many scouts does it take to start a fire?
Finally...nature's camping heater is lit. Fortunately, the Troop planned ahead and brought a trailer load of wood.
Chris and Brian working on Saturday's breakfast.
Larry (the one with the big smile) loves to be outdoors. He was very helpful to the Roadrunner Patrol and we all hope he goes on the next trip. It is not every Patrol that can boast that they have an Eagle Scout. Thanks a bunch Larry!
Things are looking good for breakfast as the Flaming Tiger patrol gets the stove working.
The Blankmen Patrol are hamming it up for the camera.
Good morning Neil!
A great Father and Son moment with Nick and Charlie .
Robert is standing in just the right spot to take advantage of the morning sun to thaw out his head.
Sherri lends a hand with cooking oil (mayonnaise) to the Flaming Tigers.
Larry did a super job helping the Roadrunner Patrol. Here, Larry is coaching the boys on how to work a stubborn stove.
Looks like the Roadrunners have got that stubborn, tired stove fired up (well, sort of).
Chris is really looking forward to his breakfast.
Looks like Sam is eating a great breakfast.
The Blankmen almost have breakfast served.
Ah, here we go with the Blankmen's breakfast...complete with gravy for those biscuits.
Little did Larry realize that his photo of him eating would be posted to the internet. Sorry Larry...but it sure looks good!
Kenny is making fast work of his breakfast sandwich.
Looks like Chris is also enjoying his breakfast sandwich.
Good morning Lee!
Chris is very "cheerful" this morning.
Alex is not sure about all these pictures.
Nick and Neil look like they may be up to something here, don't they?
Sam is thinking about all the KP (kitchen patrol) coming his way today.
Hmmm...what are those Blankmen making for lunch? Hint: See next photo.
Is that a bowl of worms? Ah, not exactly. It is about five pounds of ground beef for sloppy Joes. See next photo for more.
Someone needs to get Neil a larger frying pan!
Those Roadrunners seem to be well underway with their sandwiches for lunch.
Lee really likes those sandwiches!
